Itinerary

Day One
Arrive in Entebbe and be met by AdventureX guide, then three hour scenic journey to Bujagali Falls Jinja. Check into accommodation and head off on a local village walk, with a chance to view a couple of the spectacular rapids the Nile has to offer. In the evening we have a B.B.Q and cold beers whilst watching the sun go down.
(Lunch and evening meal included)

Day Two
We start on the first day at 8.30 when we leave the city of Kampala and/or Jinja to head southwest towards the gorilla forests. We pause at the Equator then pass through savannah grasslands covered in acacia trees, then into the foothills of the Virungas were there are vast banana plantations. Before stopping for the night next to the stunning Lake Bunyoni where we get chance to enjoy the sunset while looking out for otters and the many different types of bird life found in the area.
(All meals included)

Day Three
After a good breakfast we have chance to take a boat trip in order to discover the many islands around the lake. We will explore Kabale Town and have lunch at one of the quality local restaurants before continuing our drive into the hills towards the forests of the Mountain Gorillas. We spend the night just next to the National Park where the sounds of the forest can be heard very clearly.
(All meals included)

Day Four
We arise with the sun in order to eat a good breakfast, followed by a meeting with a ranger guide before setting off into the gorilla sanctuary. The rain forest landscape is steep and densely forested, but criss-crossed with animal trails allowing access to tourists. The trek to find the earthís greatest primate can take up to a full day, but the thrill of discovering this gentle giant in itís own habitat is rated as one of Africaís best wildlife watching opportunities. By the time you return to the camp the memories will be embedded in your mind forever.
(All meals included)

Day Five
Today we will drive through twisted and winding roads, and lake dotted countryside, before emerging on to the lower thorn and savannah scrub lands of Lake Mburo National Park. Zebra, buffalo, Ugandan Kob and plenty of other species abound in this beautiful park, where we camp the night beside a lake - hippos are sure to come and graze around your tent or lodgings tonight.
(All meals included)

Day Six
Fancy a walk through wild, wild Africa? This morning we are going to take a walking safari, complete with a ranger, so we can get up close and personal on ground level to many of the beautiful and free animals of the park. Later today we will make our way back to Kampala and/or Jinja and the end of your Mountain Gorilla Safari.
(Breakfast and lunch)

Day Seven
Free time to relax by the pool with a cool drink after the last five days of adventure.
(Breakfast included)

Day Eight
Whitewater Rafting: A superb day on the White Nile River. Starting gently we allow people to get used to their new form of transport before tackling some of the river's biggest rapids.
