This Moroccan adventure has it all - valleys, mountains, Kasbahs, Berber villages and calm desert oases - a trip through the stunning Southern Atlas Mountains and onto the desert and dunes of Erg Chebbi. A desert excursion on camels to stay in a Berber village before returning to the oases and palm groves of the Tazarine and Draa Valleys completes this unique desert adventure.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Marrakech, transfer to Riad in the heart of the Medina. Free time to relax and explore the local restaurants and culture or get lost in the world famous Souks.
Day 2
Boarding our 4x4 vehicles we head off towards the mountains. We pass through the stunning Tizi n Tichka pass, and visit Kasbah at Glaoui in Tetouate. In the afternoon we continue on to Ait Benhaddou and overnight.
Day 3
Ait Benhaddou is a Unesco World Heritage site and has been the setting for many famous movies over the years. In the morning we explore the famous Kasbahs before departing for Ouarzazate on a 20 km bike ride through the Roses Valley. Arrival in the Dades Valley by early evening to freshen up at our accommodation.
Day 4
We depart in our vehicles once again and head to Erg Chebbi following the routes of the Kasbahs in the Tafilalet Valley. We arrive in the afternoon and board camels to take us to our evening bivouac amongst the sand dunes of Morocco's desert.
Day 5
We rise early to climb the sand dunes ad watch the sunrise before we head back on our camels to meet our vehicles again. We then continue on to the Tazarine and Draa Valley. We arrive in the evening in Ouarzazate and head to our hotel for the night.
Day 6
We follow the Tizi n Tichka back through the Atlas Mountains and into Marrakech where we transfer back to our Riad. Time for a freshen up and free time to head into Marrakech before a final evening group get together.
Day 7
Breakfast at the Riad and then transfer to the airport for flight home.
