Everest Base Camp is one of the finest trekking expeditions in Nepal. The trek involves a tremendous amount of up and down walking but is rewarded with some of the most magnificent mountain views in the world i.e. Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse and several other peaks besides the magnificent Everest. The trek starts with a flight to the remote mountain airstrip of Lukla and then penetrates deep into the Sherpa homeland of Solu Khumbu and up to Kala Pathar Peak. Climbing to 5,550 metres, the trail on the way passes through a number of small villages, sampling their hospitality and culture in comfortable tea-houses. It is a demanding trek, however with time to soak up the breathtaking scenery, explore local monasteries and villages and attendance at a High Altitude Lecture, it is a very rewarding, achievable and life affirming expedition.

With additional time to experience the bustle of Kathmandu and have a well deserved relax after the trek, this rewarding journey will stay engraved in your mind forever.
